Pathways to Purpose
Empowering adults to build meaningful, stable careers through industry-recognized training and trauma-informed workforce development.
About Pathways to Purpose
Pathways to Purpose is Catholic Charities’ comprehensive workforce development initiative designed to help unemployed and underemployed adults gain the skills, credentials, and support needed to enter high-demand careers. Through holistic case management, industry-recognized training, and strong employer partnerships, participants move from instability to economic mobility equipped not only for employment, but for long-term success.
Workforce Training That Leads to Careers
The program currently offers three occupational training pathways aligned with some of Maryland’s most urgent workforce needs:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/GNA)
- 90-Hour Childcare Certification
- Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)
Participants receive more than training; they receive a team behind them. Pathways to Purpose integrates readiness assessments, barrier reduction, coaching, and wraparound services to ensure every graduate is prepared to succeed in the workforce and advance along a career pathway.
