Catholic Charities’ Parish Social Ministry works with parishes and programs to expand the mission of social justice through education, outreach and advocacy to foster the spiritual growth and development of its members so that we can transform communities. Through prayer, education, direct service and advocacy.
AWARE Program
The AWARE program offers participants a hands-on experience to educate individuals about the issues that Catholic Charities clients are facing and motivates those participants to invest time and talent to assist Catholic Charities in achieving its mission to improve lives.
Alternative Break
Catholic Charities invites college groups to spend an Alternative Break volunteering in Baltimore. We believe this personal encounter with the individuals we serve is a crucial lens for students to reflect on the cause and effect of intersecting social issues and how they can make a greater impact, long after their experience.
